User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: 2.0.0.0 (20070419) I had a network glitch at home, and TB failed to load RSS feeds anymore. It started reporting ----------- Proxy Server Not Found The proxy server you have configured could not be found. Please check your proxy settings and try again. --------------- The reason it failed was a local one - but this error page was vague enough that I had to resort to a sniffer to find out it was my fault. Could that error page (aside: does Firefox use the same page?) be altered to actually report what your current proxy settings are instead? I use WPAD as well - it would have saved me heaps of time if it had said something extra like current proxy settings are (direct|manual|automatic), and set to serv.name:port Just a thought Jason Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Bug 56629 comment 34 gave it the current error message, saying "it would be nice to actually give the proxy hostname" but unless I'm missing something, nobody has actually asked for it in the intervening 4.5 years.

More information would be very useful. The current page doesn't any context and must be very hard to understand for a novice or someone who has not touched the proxy settings in years.
yeah, i could really use some help with this, the only pages i can connect to are a few around mozilla, otherwise i just keep getting "The proxy server is refusing connections" and telling me to check my proxy settings, but i don't know how to do that, can anybody help me?
