User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 When user goes to protected page, the authentication window pops-up. The user can't close or change current tab, nor use firefox menus. He has to click on OK, Cancel or exit buttons in the authentication window. When the browser is trying to access multiple protected items in a web page, the authentication windows are chained and the user has to click several times on the exit button to retrieve control. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go on a protected page 2. Try to close firefox, or to use menus, or to change tabs Actual Results: nothing, the popup prevent everything I do not know if this report is very professional or redundant or just useless but this blocking of the firefox window annoys me...
Annoys me, too, but not enough to spend a year or so learning the darkest secrets of the innermost core code, and then several more months making it possible to have a tab-modal dialog instead of a window-modal one.
