I opened some Sinhala web sites and got to see incorrect rendering of sinhala language.
I tested this on Fedora 7 with my own build with --enable-pango and also with nightly build.
I used system font lklug.ttf

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build from CVS with --enable-pango or just download any nightly build
2. open http://www.sinhalaunicode.org or say http://www.icta.lk/Sinhala/Insidepages/programmes/Information_Infrastructure.asp
3. open same on Firefox 2 and you will see rendering differences on Firefox 2 and Firefox 3.
Actual Results:
Wrong rendering for GSUB rules of Sinhala. some combinations are not showing correctly.

Expected Results:
Is should show same correct rendering as its showing in Firefox 2

It looks like regression.
Used lklug.ttf as font
and pango-1.17.1 versions.

This works for me after I uninstalled ttf-freefont as recommended at http://www.linux.lk/lurker/message/20060207.162828.1f45ed23.en.html

I can't fine ttf-freefont package in Fedora.

Simon,
The link that you gave talks about Debian/ubuntu OS not about Fedora.

There are two separate issues here. On Ubuntu, ttf-freefont interferes with rendering of some Indic languages. Apart from that, there was a bug with Sinhala which was fixed quite recently by bug 362682. Are you testing with a build later than 2007-10-05?

This is how the testcase appears for me in current trunk on Ubuntu. Parag, please let me know if the rendering is correct, and if you are seeing something different on Fedora.
The output of "fc-match -v :lang=si", may be helpful if you see something different.
Simon,
Can you do also one more help by providing screenshot of URL http://www.icta.lk/Sinhala/Insidepages/programmes/Information_Infrastructure.asp ?
Thanks Simon,
With latest builds Sinhala is rendering correctly on Fedora also.
