It could be nice if Mozilla could include a way to add bookmarks via javascript.
IE provides a way to do it, and bug 29770 asks that mozilla support IE's way. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 29770 ***

If bug 29770 is invalid because addFavorite is IE-specific, this can't be a dup of 29770. Anyway, this is being discussed in bug 66248 now.
