I can't say for sure whether this is a bug in the Firefox trunk or a poorly coded website, but I think it is the latter. The World of Warcraft Armory site allows you to browse characters, view their gear, stats, etc. Basically, you search for someone, then you can mouse over their character to get tooltips containing this information. In Firefox 2.0 and IE7, it works. In a recent Minefield trunk build, it fails. The site has all sorts of problems in Minefield, probably stemming from the same source.

When I mouse over an item that should display a tooltip, I get the following JavaScript error (the reference to Safari further suggests that this is a TE issue rather than a Firefox bug):

Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [nsIXSLTProcessor.transformToFragment]"  nsresult: "0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)"  location: "JS frame :: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/js/ajaxtooltip.js :: safariReadystateHandler :: line 128"  data: no]
Source File: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/js/ajaxtooltip.js
Line: 128
This is definitely a "Gecko is Gecko" evangelism bug. I installed the user agent switcher extension and cloned the UA from Firefox 2.0.0.4. The site works perfectly when I switch to that string.

Duping to a newer bug as I've made some investigation of the issue there. Please complain in their forum, especially under http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=2111802583&sid=1. It would be nice if you could add a link to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409768#c6 in that forum thread, as it explains the issue a bit from a technical point of view.
