when dragging urls from tbird [version 2.0.0.5pre (20070622)]to firefox, I get bad urls for example, when I read a bugzilla email, I attempt to drag and drop a link (for example, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262329) into Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/2007062612 Minefield/3.0a6pre, I get: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262329https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262329 Note, that url has no title in the email. for an html mail, with something like: Summit Hotels I get http://www.summithotels.com/Summit%20Hotels on my url bar. I wonder if firefox is not handling text/x-moz-url properly or if thunderbird is not creating it properly, or something else? starting with tbird, but this might really be a trunk fx bug.
not a tbird bug, as tbird 2 -> fx 2, no problem. so fx 3 / minefield bug, and maybe only win32 only since christine doesn't see this on the mac.
Summary: when dragging urls from tbird to firefox, I get a bad url → when dragging urls from tbird to firefox, I get a bad url (url + title mashed together)
morphing to fx bug.
Component: Mail Window Front End → General
Product: Thunderbird → Firefox
QA Contact: front-end → general
Version: 2.0 → Trunk
note, I see this when dropping into the url bar, the content area, a tab, or the empty tab area.
agreed, a dup. thanks gavin.
