add "Expand" context menu item for containers/folder in the history sidebar fx 2 had "Expand". Should we have it in fx 3?
We should have "collapse" too. It is missing as well.
updating summary. fwiw, I don't know if I've seen any other tree (in firefox or elsewhere) that has context menus for collapse / expand.
Summary: add "Expand" context menu item for containers/folder in the history sidebar → add "Expand" / "Collapse" context menu item for containers/folder in the history sidebar
We could be consistent but then we break backwards compat... :-)
>fwiw, I don't know if I've seen any other tree (in firefox or elsewhere) that >has context menus for collapse / expand. Windows Explorer on Vista has expand / collapse in context menus in its tree view. Pretty sure previous versions of Windows had this as well. Perhaps some type of accessibility issue? Or maybe just Microsoft really loves context menu redundancy. If we decide to do this, we should have "expand" if the tree node is collapsed, and replace this command with "collapse" if it is expanded. We shouldn't list both in the menu and disable one.
> we should have "expand" if the tree node is collapsed, > and replace this command with "collapse" if it is expanded. Yes, FWIW, that is what Fx 2 did.
is this still wanted?
Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
