When adding more than 3 downloads to the list, the browser halts and has (Not Responding) in the title bar

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to URL
2. Click the save icons on the left to download the files
3. After 2 files, items will not be added to the list (this is not the bug).
4. Click and drag the remaining files (via the save icon) to the download list.

Actual Results:  
Eventually (after more than 6 files), the browser will hang and all subsequent instances (i.e. loading from Start menu), but the Downloads window will continue to update.

Expected Results:  
The main browser window to continue working as expected.

go to your profile folder (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Finding_the_profile_folder) make a backup copy of your downloads.rdf in another folder (on the desktop) and then delete the original downloads.rdf in the profile folder.
launch browser and check if the problem continues, if it is solved please attach here your old downloads.rdf

Deleting the downloads.rdf file did fix the problem.

I have re-downloaded the links and they are fine now.
