There is an ugly-looking white border around the GTK widgets rendered in firefox. It should display these widgets without the border. It should be fixed because it makes the page look sloppy.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a web page with a black background.
2. Notice the White border around the GTK widgets.
Actual Results:
Widgets should not have an ugly-looking white border around them.

Expected Results:
GTK Widgets Should be rendered WITHOUT the ugly-looking white border around them.

The URL in the bug report links to a picture explaining the problem.
I see this as a tan border around the "Google Search" and "I'm Feeling Lucky" buttons on http://www.google.com/ , which are set against a white background. Presumably I'm seeing a tan border instead of a white one because of my window manager's theme (Ubuntu's default "Human" theme).

But I wonder if this is really a bug in Firefox or a GTK bug. Perhaps GTK is assuming these widgets will always be used on top of the current theme's background color?

Summary: White Border around native GTK widgets. → additional border around native GTK button widgets
It's a Bug in Firefox 3. The GTK widgets in other Applications are Fine, they don't have a border around them at all. Try testing the Firefox 3 Alpha 6 at the Google home page with the default Human Theme and then You'll see what I mean.
One More Thing About this Problem. The Addition Border only shows up around the GTK buttons only, and the rest of the GTK objects like the radio buttons and check boxes are perfectly fine.
My Mistake, the border is also around the GTK text boxes.
I can also easily reproduce this problem.
This doesn't just happen on web pages, but on the close buttons on tabs as well...
Same here on Ubuntu 8.04. Really annoying.
