User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4
Build Identifier: 2007062404

I can click File>Print and selected a date range for events, but the box on the right of date selection shows nothing and when I click the print button, nothing happens. If I click cancel, the print dialog cancels, but with print, it just sits there.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click File>Print when Calendar is displayed
2. Choose date range with events (or without)
3. Click print in dialog
Actual Results:
Print dialog doesn't show any feedback and nothing happens. The box on the right side, which I expect to be a print preview, also shows nothing.

Expected Results:
I would expect to see a preview of what's to be printed on the right side and when I click print, to see a standard choose printer etc dialog after clicking the print button.
You probably experience bug 351581. If so, please resolve as duplicate.
No. It's not that bug. I'm never seeing the print dialog like that in Firefox or Thunderbird. I never get to the point where I can choose a printer. Basically the print dialog acts as if I never click print.
Do you use Sunbird or Lightning? What version?
You said that nothing happens if you click on the Print button - Does the Error Console shows any calendar releated messages when doing this?
I use Lightning .5, build 2007062404. The error console shows nothing. It's as if the button doesn't have a function other than looking pretty.
Works for me using Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 (20070604) with Lightning 0.5 (2007062404). I tested all possible layout-selection combinations.

Does your issue also exists using a clean Thunderbird profile? Do you have other extensions or themes installed? Does disabling the other extension or themes fixes your issue?
Odd. First weird thing was that I was running TB2.0.0.0. I was confused that it never told me to update. But that didn't fix it.

It worked fine with a clean Thunderbird profile, but if I disabled all other extensions (I have no other themes), then it didn't work on the "dirty" profile. Any ideas?
So....I figured it out. I tried unchecking all my calendars and it worked. Then I tried enabling them one at a time until it broke. When I enabled the only non-local calendar I have, the print function stopped working. I changed the summary to reflect this. The remote calendar I'm using is at webcal://icalx.com/public/peterpqa/US-Practical.ics and is apparently out of date.
Summary: Printing doesn't do anything → Printing breaks with remote calendar enabled

If I try to access http://icalx.com/public/peterpqa/US-Practical.ics I only get the message "The requested calendar doesn't exist." instead of a calendar file. I'm not surprised that Lightning fails on this.

If you try to add the webcal link to Thunderbird, does it work?
I'm seeing the same results with all Remote calendars. I just tried with webcal://ical.mac.com/ical/US32Holidays.ics

NOTE: Subscribing to the previous calendar does not fail.

I see no problems during printing (except Bug 351581) although I'm subscribed to the remote calendar you mentioned. Using Lightning 0.7pre (2007090903) with Thunderbird 2.0.0.7pre (20070907) -> WORKSFORME
For some reason, I'm still seeing this. It might be because I'm using TB 2.0.0.6, but with the newest Lightning .7 nightly, if I subscribe to webcal://ical.mac.com/paulsar/Michigan_Football.ics, I don't see the events if I enable that calendar, and I can't print anything if it's checked.

On another note, great job with calendar. 0.7 looks great :)
Ankit, do you still see those printing problems when a remote calendar is enabled using a more recent Lightning release, e.g. 0.9?
No. Thanks!
