User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 After closing firefox and saving my session, I follow a link from mIRC (other applications using firefox to view HTML have also caused this problem) which loads firefox pointed at the new page and doesn't load the saved session. Session is lost. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Close firefox, saving a session 2. Cause an app to load firefox to show a page (I double-clicked on a URI in mIRC this time) Actual Results: Window containing one tab for the requested page Expected Results: Old session restored, new tab created to display requested page
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5pre) Gecko/20070706 BonEcho/2.0.0.5pre This works for me with Firefox 2.0.0.5pre. I used a link from an e-mail in Thunderbird, FWIW. What other applications besides mIRC have you seen this with? Also, are you using any extensions with Firefox?

My guess is that you're either not closing Firefox completely due an extension such as Firefox Preloader (and thus hit bug 354894) or that you're using an extension to do the session saving for you which however contains the bug you've reported here (extension-related bugs should be reported to the respective authors - they'll report back here in case it's a deeper lying issue with Firefox). Anyway: WORKSFORME.
