User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: As it stands now, Thunderbird can only run filters on entire folders. Eudora has the ability to run filters on just a selected group of messages. This is a great feature, especially when filters fail at some point, or you change filters but don't want to process an entire mailbox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Agreed. Would be nice to be able to filter individual messages.

Absolutely. Filtering single or groups of messages is definately a time saving feature that is an efficient way of dealing with a busy inbox. For me, this is the single most important feature from eudora that is missing from thunderbird.

This was implemented in core Thunderbird code, so was tracked in a different bug 444209. This feature is in Eudora 8 beta 4.
