I work in a shared office and typically have the sound to my computer muted. I rely on the alarm window to let me know when a meeting is coming up.  In outlook I had the option to have the alarm window always pop up on top.  This way, even if my word document was maximized, I would still see the alarm.  This should be a configurable option since I am sure others would find it annoying, but for me it is essential!
