User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 The "Send Link" tab used to always work to with Outlook but suddenly does not any longer. I have always been able to hit send link and a hypertext link would appear in an Outlook dialogue email page ready for me to input "To" and "Subject" info so that I could email the link. Now, when I use the "Send Link" tab it freezes the page whose URL link I wish to send via Outlook and opens up a cascading IE tab on the bottom tool bar referencing a number of IE error messages. I uninstalled latest 2.0 version and reinstalled 2.0 with no success. I uninstalled 2.0 and reinstalled 1.5 with no success. I've read on the forums similar problems but there are no discussions of fixes. Would appreciate your reply and a fix. I love Firefox. I have used it solely for quite some time. Keep up the good work. Michael Swartz Porter Ranch, CA Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
If you use IE tab it could be related to this extension. COuld you try in safe-mode (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode)? If the problem doesn't occur in safe-mode try to uninstall IE tab (cf. Tools -> Addons)

Not a lot of fun to go find web page/url in IE so that I can send an email with a link.

I would then suggest registering outlook back as your default mail client see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_mail_client (plus references 1 and 2) This is not a Firefox problem in my opinion

DefaultMail utility solved the problem. For whatever reason, even though Outlook has always been the registered mail client, with 2.0 the registration had no effect. The registration was useless. However, with the DefaultMail utility, it solved the problem. Hmmmm. Thanks again for your help. Your suggestion for the utility solved the problem.
