38831 - cookie password remembering doesn't work

When entering bug reports or similar, I have to enter my login and password
after each action. With Netscape 4.61 telling me which cookies will be set,
I just found out that you try to set a cookie "Bugzilla_password=" expiring
01/01/1970 (yes, the value part is empty). Shouln't my password appear there?

    Yes, that bug looks very familiar. I'm not using a web cache (only
Junkbuster), but I'm on a dialup line, and I get a different IP with each
dialin. That would also explain why Bugzilla sometimes remembers my
password and sometimes doesn't. So mark this bug as a duplicate if you
wish.

    Still I don't see why Bugzilla wants to set a cookie named
Bugzilla_password with an empty value and which should expire on
01/01/1970.

moving all closed Bugzilla bugs to the new Bugzilla product.
This batch is DUPLICATE/INVALID/WORKSFORME/WONTFIX
reassigning to default owner and QA in case of the bug being reopened.
Clearing milestones, since we really shouldn't have them on these types of
resolutions.  Sorry for the spam everyone...
