Details

This is a follow-up to bug 341573 . Please refer to the data there. We should determine if the failure was due to a compiler bug or to a bug in our code. I would go about this by doing two builds, one with fsimple=1 and another with simple=2, and tracing one of the test programs. dtrace can help give a full stack history. Also, studio 12 was recently release and should be tested too.
