User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 If Firefox is SIGINTed or something to that effect, it spawns a tab of its welcome page on every window that is reopened with the internal session saver framework. This is unnecessary and gunks up my many windows upon restoration. Moreover, when Firefox restores in this welcome mode, all installed plugins treat the Firefox restore as the first start with the plugin enabled; hence a plethora of welcome and introductory screens are shown. This is annoying. It appears the problem lies in Firefox with its welcome mode or whatever it is. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Delicious and FireGPG extensions; 2. Start multiple windows, each with a couple of tabs open; 3. Give Firefox SIGINT; 4. Restart Firefox; and 5. Inform Firefox to restore the session. Actual Results: Behold a variety of extension welcome screens that normally do not appear when Firefox is routinely started. Behold a tab of Firefox's welcome screen on all windows. Expected Results: My session should be restored without all of this extraneous ****.

Is this still reproducible? Firefox 2 has reached end of life, but if it's still reproducible in newer versions, then we'll take a look at this.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Also, give a stacktrace.
