Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/2.0.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/2.0.0.5 Upon attempting to check on a stored bookmark I found that all bookmarks are gone; except for two that I had marked after installing the latest update of Mozilla on 7-22-07. I attempted to run GoBack to undo the problem; but when my computer reboots the update enforces the installation again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Bookmarks 2.Observe that everything except Bookmarks Toolbar Folder and two recent bookmarks are gone. 3. Actual Results: All bookmarks except two added after the update are gone. Expected Results: All bookmarks dating back several years should have been available for reference. I don't have a lot of savy regarding this type of information other than the computer has Windows 98 4.10.1998, AMD K7 processor, 639 MB Ram.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks for possible causes and how to retrieve them. If you used a system restore program it would be best to reinstall Firefox in a new empty folder. If you want to reuse the previous directory first empty or delete that folder manually.
