User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Someone sent me this link through MSN Messernger, seems to use Java exploit and won't allow you to use firefox until you exit then remove process from task manager. The appearence is all removed and only messed up Java logo is shown. This could cause users to loose data/information that they were viewing. I hope this helps. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Insert the link into address bar, press enter. 3. Firefox crashes. Actual Results: Firefox crashes and I have to restart it via Task manager (remove process then restart firefox).
Be careful when visiting that url! I didn't crash with current trunk build. But the page opened endless mail windows on my computer.
I am using Firefox 2.0.0.6 with these addons: -Adblock. -Answers. -British English Dictionary. -Clipmarks. -CookieCuller. -Download Statusbar. -Firefox showcase. -FireFTP. -Flashblock. -Greesemonkey. -IE Tab. -Orbit Downloader. -Shoutwire toolbar. -Tabmix plus. -Torbutton. -User agent switch. -Video Download 2.0 Could these have impacted on the links effect?
I didn't crash either but my VM doesn't have Flash or Java installed and I'm sure that'll change things. I did, however, get 100% CPU usage. Memory use stays flat after jumping initially.
I've got Flash Player 9 and Java v1.6.0
