User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6
Predefined conditions:
1. I use Proxy to connect to Internet;
2. Proxy requires user/pass to login;
3. I use Master Password to store proxy login data.
4. New versions of some addons do EXIST.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start FF.
Build-in updater detects that new version of some addons are available. The addon-update window appears with found updates.
2. Press Update button.
Thus it attempts to update but it cannot because it cannot connect to the Internet.
Actual Results:
MP window does not appear at that moment.
Connection to the Internet does not established.
Addon update actually does not performed.
It actually does not asks for proxy login data to enter manually.
Expected Results:
When trying to update addons when FF starts, MP must be checked to access to proxy-server login data.
We can also make it possible to enter login data manually but why do we need to do this if this data is saved within pass manager?
Although we can update addons under this type of connection after starting FF, bypassing startup update feature and launching it manually from menu.

Can I just check the exact issue here.
I understand that you are expecting to just see the master password dialog and
have that handle the proxy authentication, is that right?
Do you get a dialog for entering the proxy's username and password at all?

Right.

No I don't. But as I stated, it wouldn't solve the problem in full.
Btw, I haven't checked if this dialog(proxy login) appears when there is no master password or no login data for this proxy is saved.

Ok I have just experimented with this and on my local setup the master password dialog appears as expected.
Can you give me any information on what kind of proxy you are using that might help me track this down?

That's odd.

What kind of information about proxy do you need?
As for now a can tell:
1. I use proxy.pac for automatic proxy configuration;
2. In my ICQ-client settings proxy used as HTTPS proxy(no other type of proxy connection works).
