Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; de-DE; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; de-DE; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6
Description:
One Workstation (Mac OS X) - several users spoken several languages.
Admin installs en-US package with the possibilty for each user to install his/her own .xpi language package.
Problem:
When the admin itself install another language pack (like de-DE in my case) - I can't no longer update because there are no newer versions found!
Workaround:
I switched back to ...useragent.. = en-US , then a software-update (today it was 2.0.0.6) was found.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install a arbitrary firefox package (at least on Mac OS X)
2. install for the admin account another .xpi language pack
3. you will never see any update possibilities
Expected Results:
software update (of the package itself) should be available in every case (wether what language pack was postinstalled)
same on Thunderbird
