When you start the installer the temporary files are in a temp directory called ns_temp. If you start the installer while mozilla is running and press Cancel to the error, the setup.exe in the temporary directory is not deleted. All other files in the temporary directory are deleted.
I can't reproduce this. It might have been fixed with other fixes. Marking as worksforme.

Nope. On my Win2k system the setup.exe remains in the: C:\Documents and Settings\hege\Local Settings\Temp\ns_temp directory after I press Cancel in the Mozilla already running dialog. Are you on win2k?

I tried on NT4. You are correct. It does happen on Win2k. Mozilla.exe does not need to be running for this to happen.

This happens if you just cancel the setup.
