User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007081505 Minefield/3.0a8pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007081505 Minefield/3.0a8pre Type in an URL that has one or more subpages such as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugzilla Then do a CTRL+Backspace at the end of the URL. The word as well as the leading backslash are deleted. The behavior in Firefox 2.0.0.* dictated that the leading backslash was not to be deleted. Sidenote: CTRL+Backspace deletes the entire URL in Firefox 2.0.06 for Linux. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type in a long URL with multiple subpages. 2. Press CTRL+Backspace Actual Results: My URL is shortened by one section including the backslash that preceded it. Expected Results: The leading backslash should not have been deleted.
i can confirm this using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007081505 Minefield/3.0a8pre ID:2007081505 it's working in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 ID:2007072518 now let somebody find a regression range :)

What's a regression range?
(In reply to comment #2) > What's a regression range? > the regressionrange is the time from when it worked to the time when it failed. Preferably narrowed down to 1 single build. If you have the regressionrange, you can check which bugs were checked in, which makes it a lot easier to find the cause of this bug.
Am I the one responsible for finding the range or can anyone help?

It is not a duplicate of 389421. That bug is specific to Linux. The bug I submitted is specific to Windows.
This is actually a duplicate of bug 385565, but the patch in bug 389421 will fix this issue as well.
