As I explained in bug 391606, nobody should be using the anonymous pserver instance on cvs.mozilla.org. If you need up-to-date coverage (without the lag time that cvs-mirror has), you need to get another *bld account added (maybe "trybld" ?) that you can use to checkout read-only from cvs.mozilla.org over ssh. It is a fluke that anonymous cvs.mozilla.org is working for you, as it should be disabled/firewalled.
Basically, you should generate a private key for trybld, attach the public key, and have IT add an account on the cvs server for trybld. Also, IT will need to add trybld to the read-only users list in the despot-related script so that the new account can't check-in (and so it is read-only).
