When retrieving possible handlers from the datasource, the handler service should automatically add the preferred handler to the set of possible handlers if it isn't already there, since the API says that the preferred handler will be in the list of possible handlers, but that won't be the case for legacy datasources that existed before we added support for possible handlers. The patch in bug 393492 fixes this.
