Build ID: current CVS pull and 2000051508 (latest nightly) The listed URL, and any other text/plain web page I can dig up, fails to display. Although Mozilla reports that the document loads the browser is blank, at the default background colour, with no scrollbars. Sometimes if I attempt to swipe out an invisible selection by waving the mouse around with button-1 held down, Mozilla reports: no handler found for HTML (I believe on mouse up). The page is definetly fetched from the network; I've checked our web server logs to see that. (And on a large text file, the percentage completion gadget will tick up.) If you open up Edit | View Source, you get a blank page again and Mozilla reports Error loading URL about:blank I believe this problem appeared in CVS pulls from sometime over this weekend, although I can't be entirely sure.
(corrected my goof in failing to fully qualify the domain name of the sample URL.)
I see this with the sample URL on 051920, but most other text/plain pages render as if they were text/html. should I file a separate bug for that? Here's another interesting test case: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.txt I see the last ~50 lines rendered as HTML. the rest of the text is gone.
Confirming. Interestingly, View | Page Source is also blank on the URL above. Gerv
