All of the bookmarks and internet settings are erased. Everything is just like it was when I first installed firefox. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Unknown. I still have not seen a single update window, so the problem may be related to firefox update protocol. Perhaps I never see the update window because the update fails resulting in a full reset of the entire system?
please try to follow hints here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks Also i suggest to create a new profile (http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile#new), some files could got corrupted in your current one
