User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 I apologize for the lack of specificity. However, I also had the same problem with some 2.x.x.5 version. After updating, to 2.x.x.5. it seemed as if Firefox seemed to "Not Respond" much more frequently. This caused me to upgrade to 2.x.x.6 in hopes to correct this problem. Unfortunately, the problem persists. Frequently, 2, 3, 4 times a day Firefox will "Not Respond". For example, this morning (within and hour) I have already had to restart Firefox 3 times because it "failed to respond". Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Unknown Actual Results: Firefox ceases to respond. Must "cntrl-alt-del" and end process. Software should keep running.
Check if the problem is present in safe mode <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode>. If it isn't it's due to one of your extensions.
Also try to upgrade your plugins (java, flash, ...) to latest versions

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here.
