'REPLY' are mails send by people that have accepted (or declined) rendez-vous. They are used to update the attendee status (for example).

Today, lightning recognize the mail message as an : "Reply to an invitation", but it doesn't update anything on the calendar

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Invite somebody to an event
2.Accept the RV (on outlook)
3.Read the mail message received
Actual Results:
The 'REPLY' mail message is shown as a 'Reply to an invitation' but there's no button to update to event...

Expected Results:
It should update the event correctly (as evolution does)

The text is created in <http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsblame.cgi?file=mozilla/calendar/lightning/content/imip-bar.js&rev=1.8&mark=188-193#188>. The comment says: "We currently cannot process REPLY messages so just let the user know what this is, and don't give them any options."

Clint, is there already another bug for this? Or should we confirm this one?
Version: Trunk → unspecified
It would be great if this problem could be fixed for 0.7 release... Without handling REPLY, all the work on attendee status is almost not useful!

Thanks
This is the same as bug 361635.

We know it's bad. We're working to get it resolved. We've got a couple of other big things on several developers plates at the moment, but we're happy to direct and advise folks who would like to submit some patches for these bugs. If no one steps forward, then most of the iTIP features will likely land in the 0.9 timeframe.

Marking as DUPE.
