39514 - [Feature]{UI}hook up Newsgroup properties dialog

Win32 (2000-05-12-21 M16)
Steps:
1. Launch Messenger using -mail option
2. Select a newsgroup server, news.mozilla.org
3. Select a newsgroup netscape.public.test
4. right click on the newsgroup 

Actual result: newsgroup properties is gray out. 
This may not have been implemented yet.

Expected result: This should bring up the Newsgroup properties dialog, which 
would allow me to check using Plain text or HTML editor.

5. Or from the Edit menu
Actual result: no Newsgroup properties submenu is listed
Expected result: should have a Newsgroup properties submenu like NOVA

Unable to check MAC and Linux because of bug 39457

Have search bug database but cannot find a bug like this one. So write this bug 
to track Newsgroup properties.

I'll have to double-check, but I believe Properties Dialogs for folders or
groups is on the OUT list for this release.

Laurel, I have searched this topic in the messenger.html, newsgroup spec and 
preferces.html spec.  I cannot find it. Does that mean it is out?

Well, I seem to remember seeing it out on beta requirements document, but I
can't find that link right now.
In the meantime, refer to recent comments in bug #10877, which is the bug about
Folder properties dialogs.

I think 46315 is more comprehensive, but both of these bugs cover the same

I'm lame, re-opening this bug, this is for tracking the Properties Dialog in 4.x
v.s 6.0.

bienvenu seems to have the properties dialog working, but I'm not sure it is
complete yet.

No, not even close to finished, plus I haven't figured out how I'm going to do
property sheets for different kinds of folders (i.e., share xul for the common
parts, or just have separate xul for each).

there aren't any newsgroup-specific properties implemented yet, though the basic
property sheet is hooked up. We can mark this closed and open up new bugs on
anything we want to add to the newsgroup properties.
