Details
STR: - edit a draft, do some changes - wait for autosave to kick in - do some more changes - close mail composer You'll be asked whether to save the draft or not. But not saving the draft will only drop the changes after the last autosave - all other changes between opening the mail composer and the last autosave will stick! This should not happen. Autosave should always save to a new draft and not change my original draft. The original draft should get overwritten only if I explicitly save it.

I agree with this.
This bug happens whether you discard the draft or not. When I send my messages, it sends the message but keeps the drafts from the last update, as well, so I end up having out of date drafts in addition to a sent mail.
