in Non-Fips mode if you enter the password incorrectly for an external token you do not get an invalid password. certutil simply returns to the command prompt. certutil -d . -L -h "Sun Metaslot" Also see bug: 396999
Glen, I can't reproduce this. When I enter an invalid password, I just get re-prompted. [jp96085@monstre]/net/monstre/export/home/julien/nss/tip/mozilla/dist/SunOS5.10_i86pc_DBG.OBJ/bin 144 % certutil -d . -h all -L Enter Password or Pin for "Sun Metaslot": Enter Password or Pin for "Sun Metaslot": Was your Sun Metaslot token uninitialized by any chance ? If so, use pktool setpin and see if that corrects it.

It is a very old bug without activity and looks like an environment problem.
I couldn't reproduce here.
