Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Thunderbird or Firefox. 2. Be sure the window is split a. Thunderbird: Folder list and messages b. Firefox: View the side bar 3. Attempt to navigate to the splitter via the keyboard for the purpose of resizing the panes. (I can't find a way to do it) 4. Attempt to locate the splitter in Accerciser (I don't see it). Look for some other accessible property for the affected panel/scroll pane which you could alter for the purpose of repositioning the splitter. (I don't see that either). In gtk, there is a split pane role that accomplishes this. In most gtk apps, F8 moves you from split pane to split pane, the arrows let you move the splitter, and enter finishes the positioning.
