Details
If the title bar is clicked and held like to move the window around, the downloads are paused until the user lets the mouse button ago. This is very weird on why it would even do that. Requesting blocking...not sure how deep this goes like if the user if resizing the window, scrolling etc...
1) Reproduce by downloading a smallish file and notice how fast the progress bar and size of file is at before clicking the title bar
2) Click and hold the title bar for lets say a minute
3) Let go of mouse button and notice the progress hasn't changed since mousedown
Note: this is not just due to the window not updating the content of the window on mousedown

This is wanted-firefox3, but unless it's a regression or is proven to "go deeper", I don't think it blocks. After all, how long do we really expect users to be dragging this window around their screen for?
It's odd, to be sure, though, and we should take some time to investigate and fix it if we can. I just don't think it blocks shipment of the product as described.

Also paused for the error console/options menu/page info/firefox window (not maximized)/addons manager/search engine manager (I guess any <window>) if you hold the mouse button down on the title bar.
I have no clue what I'm talking about here but to me it seems like the whatever happens when you press down on the title bar and animated gifs "pause" is the same thing happening with the downloads. the gif's should freeze in that window but downloads should not freeze at all.

This is probably a dupe of bug 392129.
Could be, there are a few bugs around about related things. Guess someone just needs to figure out which one has the most information and dupe all the others to that bug or morph them into one if someone figures out why it is happening.

Indeed, anyone who has a patch can start their own bug, even if he knows it is a dupe. He *can* do this.
