Seems like a minor feature to me, marking priority as minor.
This article should cover:
-What are search suggestions
-How to turn them on or off
-Why some search engines provide suggestions and some don't
May also want to contrast this feature with autocomplete (and provide a link to an autocomplete article).
Severity: normal → minor

Done. I also added a link to this article in the staging copy of ((Search bar)):

Looks pretty good. Here are some minor wording issues:
-"When you enter a term in the Search bar, the indicated search engine is queried, and the search results are displayed in Firefox." - I this is a little redundant. Maybe just "When you enter a term in the Search bar, the results for the selected search engine are displayed in Firefox". I'm also concerned how "entering a search term" means just typing it in and pressing enter here, while it means just typing it in the following bullet point.
-"click ENTER." -> "Press ENTER".
-"The search results are displayed." sounds like it was cut off. Maybe "The search results are then displayed in the web page area" (though "web page area" isn't a very good term...)
-"The name of the active search engine is listed in the Search bar and is identified by the small icon." Not sure if you've thought of this, but the name won't be indicated if there's already search text in it.
-"Adding or removing search engines" - how about "Managing search engines"?
-"If needed, you can allow Firefox to prompt you with search suggestions." You don't need it to use it.
-"If you accidentally delete..." Combine these two paragraphs (without a bullet point).

Jason, it looks like you've only reviewed the Search bar article here, which is not written by me. This bug covers <http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Search+suggestions>. I just mentioned in comment 3 that I've added a link to ((Search suggestions)) in ((Search bar))... :-)

Oops...
This is a very good article that covers the subject thoroughly yet briefly. It's good enough to be live as is, but here are some things I've found that we can clean up quickly first:
-"Search Bar" should be capitalized as such
-It's not clear what the "search icon" is.
-"Enter" should use the keyboard quicktag, not button.
-"Up and Down keys" should be "up and down keys" without any tagging - the keyboard quicktag should only be used if you put the actual text of the key in it.
-The link to Search history is broken.
-"Why search suggestions may not appear?" - take out the question mark
-In the list of engines that support suggestions, the word "not" gets lost in all the text. How about instead listing the ones that support it, then the ones that don't? Like:
* Suggestions supported
** Google
** Yahoo
* Suggestions not supported
** Amazon
** eBay
-"short amount of time", "a short while". How about "a moment"?
-Working offline is covered by an article linked to in "Error loading web sites". I don't think we want to go into why someone doesn't have connectivity in this article.

I changed it to "search engine icon" to be consistent with the terminology in ((Search bar)).

Thanks for the suggestion. Done.

So, do you propose the whole last paragraph to be removed?

- I'd get rid of the list of search engines that don't support search suggestions. Just list the ones that do.
- remove note about search history, and add a reminder to bug 410047, to add the note back, when that article goes live.
