The URL given doesn't seem to work, although there is activity at http://www.fmulas.net/portal/ and a language pack for Firefox 1.5 is available for download.

Massimeddu: If you want to get involved here, you need to read this wiki page:
http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Starting_a_localization

Create yourself a wiki page for your localisation, which registers you as the team for that language. Then, follow the instructions on the wiki to produce a language pack you can distribute through addons.mozilla.org. Once you have reached that stage, we can consider your pack for official status - although I should warn you that this is a separate process with its own complexities. Still, the community will still be able to get your pack from addons.mozilla.org in the meantime.

If you have read carefully and find the documentation isn't good enough in any way, please let us know and we will improve it.

The sardinian localization project now move to
http://sardfox.mozdev.org
I have create a page in the wiki:
http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:sc
We are working for produce a language pack, but we don't have finish, for now.
So, when we finish the work, we put our language pack on addons.mozilla.org.

Hi Massimeddu: how are things going? I note that you have a language pack up for download on sardfox.mozdev.org. Do you think it's ready to go to the next stage yet?

Hi Gerv,
the language pack that you see is a old version for firefox 2 with a lots of bugs!
Now we are working on the localization of firefox 3.
We think that we are ready in one or two months.

So, at the moment, we aren't ready to go to the next stage.

Hi Massimeddu:

Hope you are doing well. I am not sure where you are in your localization effort at this time. Have you made serious progress toward Firefox 3? If you have begun work on FF3, thank you for all of your work at localizing. We're at the unique point of determining if you should localize for Firefox 3 or move onto localizing for Firefox 3.1, depending on your availability and interest.

If you are interested in working on *something* that is stable, you can continue to focus on localizing Firefox 3. We can get stable builds going for you. However, we will eventually ship your work in Firefox 3.1 and you will need to update the effort you are putting into Firefox 3 right now. The good news is that the string changes from Fx 3 --> Fx 3.1 are presently small in number (~30), so the update should not be too much too handle.

However, if you are interested in moving your effort toward localizing Firefox 3.1, then you can read the following documentation on working with Mercurial and getting a local environment set up on your machine.

http://developer.mozilla.org/en/L10n_on_Mercurial

or learn the basics about Mercurial here:

http://developer.mozilla.org/en/Mercurial

Thanks so much for your hard work. As always, ping us with any questions, we are ready to help.

Kind regards,
Sethb

Hi Sethb,

in these days we are planing to move to Firefox 3.1. Now we are using a custom web-based application (called Ditzionariu) to translate Firefox. You can find that at http://www.sardfox.org/ditzionariu. As you can see, now we have translated about 20% of the strings of .dtd and .properties files of Firefox 3.0.

We hope to finish our work for the final release of FF 3.1! When we are ready for the next stage, we call you.

Hi Massimeddu,

I am not familiar with the web-based application Ditzionariu, but I will wait to see your progress. We would be excited for you to participate in Firefox 3.1 Please plan on that as the release will come out sometime in early 2009.

Looking forward to hearing more!!

Best,
sethb

There has been a long time without much progress from this team. We will resolve this incomplete for now and you may reopen later if you are able to move forward.
