(Whiteboard: [places-ui])

In preparation for other changes being planned in bug #393508, we need to transition the location bar auto-complete results to a richlistbox widget.

The page title should always be on the first line, and the URL on the second line. Ideally we should style the selected result with a gradient, but that is just polish.

We can focus on things like stars, tags, time stamps and potentially bolding matching text in followup bugs after m9.

This doesn't block, but it's wanted.

Alex: can you file an M9 blocker (or make sure that one is filed) for ensuring that there's a user-visible way to see how our current location-bar-autocomplete is matching against results (even through boldtext). That *is* a blocker.

filed bug #399664
(should note, with a little egg on my face, that bug 399664 implies that a richlistbox widget may, indeed, be required)
yes, to do bug #399664 we need a richlistbox, so when that bug is fixed, this becomes fixed.

and then, we can do other things with url bar autocomplete results.
Depends on: 399664
fixed as part of bug #399664.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
