There are more entities in global.dtd that doesn't seem to be used, e.g. time.am, time.pm, time.AM, time.PM, day.*.DDD, month.*.MMM. Should we remove them too?

If they're really unused, then please remove them as well. Fewer strings means less work for our localizers, which is good.
