There should be a additional menu item File->"Quit but freeze and ask me if I want to restore next time" or some better name. Thus one need not resort to kill(1) etc. tricks if one wishes to continue later. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Just select "show my windows and tabs from last time" in the "Main" tab of preferences.
