It would be nice if we was able to have a transparent background for pages like 'about:blank'.
browser.display.background_color allows to choose a color, but it doesn't allow to be transparent and displays #main-window background image (or color).
.plain class can be transparent, but it's not the case of #browser.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
It's just an example of what it could look like.
On screenshot, transparency was there thanks to some css:
#main-window {
background-image: url("pl.jpg") !important;
-moz-appearance: none !important;
}
#browser .plain { background-color: transparent !important; }

This is a mass search for bugs that are in the Firefox General component, are UNCO, and have not been changed for 1000 days and have an unspecified version.
Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the bug, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the resolution to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
I find this request to be more precise (screenshot notably), but I could understand you want to close some bugs.

And the older bug seems to ask for half-transparent, not fully transparent, though both would probably be addressed by the same code changes. Let's leave it as "depends on" for now.
