User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 The table showing portfolio details shows about twice as wide as it does in IE if you are viewing all of your accounts there. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open the more simplified test case in Firefox 2.08 and compare to IE7, as the screenshot shows. To see the source page for the test case: If you have more than one account at ETrade, login Go to the mentioned URL Choose to view "All Brokerage Accounts" The table listing portfolio symbols will grow to be about twice as wide as it is in IE and one has to scroll to see the rightmost columns Actual Results: Rendering like IE, possibly, unless this is an IE bug. Expected Results: I didn't expect to have to scroll to the right to see the rightmost columns

Quirks mode version of last testcase (no DOCTYPE)

Firefox is working as designed, see bug 277232 comment 13 and 14. The site should fix their markup, either remove the nowrap attribute or remove <!DOCTYPE> if Quirks mode is what they want. -> Evang

Whiteboard: [havefix]
I have contacted ETrade with the bug details and asked them to consider fixing this. Thanks for your explanation, Mats. Somewhat amusingly, their web site comment feature doesn't properly escape HTML content inside your comment text when displaying your entered comment, so I hope they can actually read my comment.

This requires an account for testing. Has the issue been fixed?

I no longer see this problem on the E*TRADE web site using the same steps as before. I can't guarantee the issue won't show for others, since I'm not sure if that particular table cell only shows for certain account types/situations, but it is no longer a problem for me, at least.
