If we open menus on Seamonkey, let says for example bookmarks, there is no even a single icon there. The window filled with text and texts. Compared to Firefox, there are icons everywhere, which is good and look more interesting for the user.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put in some icons, not only text
2.
3.
Having some icons in menus is surely a valid enhancement. In case someone would like to work on this this bug could serve as a meta bug for the different menus and themes (Classic/Default, Modern).

Extension fodder? There is/was an extension Crystal Menus.
Comparing different browsers like Firefox, Opera and IE on Win7, none has icons for all menu entries (in fact most browsers hide the menu bar by default now, so I checked using the Alt key). They mostly use icons for bookmarks/favorites, favicons and main categories. SM already uses icons under the Bookmarks and Window menus, but e.g. not for the visited pages' favicons under Go (this may go into a separate bug if it doesn't already exist). Some add-ons add icons to their entries under Tools.

So in general I agree that this is not something that we should invest too much time and effort into. However I think we should enable people who want to do this to add icons easily. That means adding class="menuitem-iconic" on menu items where appropriate (like the Sync menu items under Tools) and maybe adjusting the internal CSS to make it look unchanged when no icon is present.
