I saw in sdwilsh's blog about the Cookie Monster that we're looking for Mac OS X version of the logging instructions.  The Linux instructions are pretty close, but I've tweaked them a bit to make them more Mac-friendly.

Two notes: 

1) I've used "Firefox" here because Firefox users are the ones who will need this, but that's inconsistent with the rest of the file ("Mozilla").

2) Also, "cookies.log" will get uploaded as application/octet-stream by default, which means MIME type tinkering on the bug if anyone wants to read the log there.  I'm happy to change the filename to "cookie-log.txt", but then we'll be using two different filenames.

I'm happy to do the legwork to sync the rest of the page for #1 (and/or #2 if we decide to do that), of course.

i agree with both of your points; can you update the page to be consistent?

i'm also not really sure why under the linux part we recommend changing to the installation directory and running "./mozilla", as opposed to just running the system mozilla... i suppose that prevents confusion in the case of multiple installed versions, though. so that can stay.

It's all Firefox, all cookies-log.txt, all the time.  Sam also did a bit of sanity-checking the Windows paths for 2007 era for me.
