Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071030 SeaMonkey/1.1.6
Idea: Enabling one hand mail navigation
The current status is that you need to press <ALT> <F4> to close the current mail window to see the main mail overview again.
The "backspace" key could be implemented in two possible ways:
Either closing the current individual mail window like <ALT> <F4> does.
or
closing the current individual mail window and opening up the main mail overview if there is no current main mail overview.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

We already have <ESC> that closes the window, at least on Linux.
My 2 cents: overloading a "destructive" key like <backspace> with other
meanings is bad.
Severity: normal → enhancement

Well, I can't say any better than Mats did.
