Details

In Minefield on OSX Leopard, a click on the "help" menu takes about 10 seconds (!) until the menu actually opens up.

This may be caused by something related to the "spotlight"-like field now present in help menus on OSX, but I don't know.

This is reproducible for me. Am I the only one having this problem?
Using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b1) Gecko/2007110903 Firefox/3.0b1, I don't see a 10 second delay, but there is definitely a lag, and I bet you are right that it is somehow connected to the spotlight features.
Frederic: If you are still seeing this, note the build ID in the bug. I am not seeing it at all with the latest nightly.
Yes, still present in build 2007112804. I should wipe my profile once to see if it is something in there causing it.

Can you save it off, first, so someone can take a look at it?
In theory, yes -- in practice, I am unsure if I am comfortable handing my stored passwords, bookmarks, etc. etc. over to somebody else. If I manage to find out which files I have to delete that contain sensitive data, I'll share the remaining profile.
Okay, I poked around some more and figured out that it is an issue caused by the del.icio.us bookmark extension; but since they do not claim it being compatible with Firefox 3 yet (and apparently, it is not), it's my own fault and I should mark this INVALID, right?
