Details
Currently only the Mail and Calendar icons can be added to the mode toolbar. A task icon will follow once we have a task mode.
A lot of users have expressed their desire to add additional buttons to the mode toolbar, e.g. the addressbook icon. We should make that possible.

This bug will be WONTFIX with the completion of bug 454931 (switch from mode buttons to folder pane).
