While testing bug 403090... STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. load the attached testcase, follow the instructions in it. For SeaMonkey - the inconsistency also occurs when using the Find dialog (CTRL+F)

Yeah, the problem is with starting at the focus and skipping anonymous content. If the focus is in anon content to start with, we'll find it until we step out, but not thereafter. Our find impl needs a bottom-up overhaul in the design, this time with the assumption that anonymous content can actually happen and that the right thing to walk is the flattened tree, not the DOM tree...
