Before fixing 128297, entering news://host/mid uris like <news://news.gmane.org/20071109170805.E96711E717A@wine.dyndns.org> in SM's url bar opened the message in the browser window (in TB you could set it as the Mail Start page). This doesn't work anymore:

As long as we don't have a clear distinction between news: and nntp: uris (see bug 89939 and others), we should regard this as a regression and fix it...
