WFM on Mac, adding qawanted, can't block until we get confirmation.
Jesus: that crash ID returns 404 for me ...
Flags: blocking-firefox3?
Keywords: qawanted

There is this XXX comment above the call to pango_font_get_metrics. I don't know what it really means but to me it sounds like it could do something bad with Pango 1.16 if the lang attribute isn't known:
http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsblame.cgi?file=mozilla/gfx/thebes/src/gfxPangoFonts.cpp&rev=1.117&mark=424-427#423
(That came from pavlov's check-in from bug 362682.)
But then, neither the URL of this bug nor the one of bug 404964 crash for me and I am running pango 1.16.5 on Gentoo.
The bug could be dependent of the concrete size & font used. So, your problems to reproduce it.
