When using mail filtering to automatically transfer messages, add the possibility to select the account to be used to transfer.

Explanation : In my company, we use a configuration with two accounts, with each time a specific ldap, smtp and pop server. When I receive a message on one account, I use message filtering to readress it to some other people on the other account.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In the message filtering, create a new filter on the mail you receive in the global box for instance.
2. Choose as action to transfer it to a specific email address.
Actual Results:
You don't have the possibility to select the user account to use (ie the message can only be transfer on the account you received it on).

Expected Results:
At the right of the address box, add a new box with a selection of the user account to use.

Thanks !
> message can only be transfer on the account you received it on

Not true, in the selection list the accounts (and folders) are listed beneath each other. You just have to scroll down. Or did I misunderstand you?

It can be manually transfered, for sure, but I would like this item to be added in the filters possibilities, so the transfer is automatic and not manual (that's why the filters are there). Try to reproduce the steps, I'm sure you'll better understand.

This shows the current mail filtering transfer capabilities. It would be a great enhancement to add, at the right of the addressee box (here : john.doe@mozilla.org) a drop-down box showing the mail accounts configured in Thunderbird (eg Account 1 and Account 2) so the mail is transferred using the correct account.

Ah, I thought you meant a plain "move". I guess you meant the forward filter. (Updating summary.) Was that correct?
Summary: Enhance mail filtering in accordance with multiple account settings. → forward filter does not give you the option to choose which account to send from (always the one on which it was received)
Yes, I meant the forward filter. Thunderbird gives the capability to use multiple mail accounts. When using the forward filter, it should give us the capacity to select the account to forward the mail from. Summary is long but ok for me !
Is this related to bug 264770? We have to distinguish account / identity to say ..
I don't think that bug is related. Bug 264770 want ability for a filter to put a mark in the stored messages about some personality (identity). That identity will be used if the user replies sometimes in the future.

This bug wants to send a reply (or forward) automatically under a different identity (email address) but not put any mark into the stored message.
